The MonsterVerse may have made a mistake by killing off King Ghidorah too soon in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. As one of Godzilla’s most iconic enemies, his rushed story and premature defeat weakened his impact on the franchise.
While his DNA was used to create Mechagodzilla, Ghidorah himself is seemingly gone for good. His presence added a sense of seriousness and grandeur that has since been lost, making later MonsterVerse films feel more bombastic and less weighty. However, there are still ways the franchise could bring Ghidorah back for another epic battle.
